First Lady Dr. Jill Biden shares stage with Pro-Choice Minnesota Campus Organizer

Pro-Choice Minnesota Campus Organizer and St. Cloud State University student, Lydia Krueger, introduced First Lady Dr. Jill Biden during a Women for Biden event in Bloomington Friday evening.

During her speech, while reflecting on the day Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, Lydia remarked, "That day, I emailed Pro-Choice Minnesota and I asked if they had any open positions, and I have been organizing on my campus ever since."

After Lydia's introduction, Biden responded, "It's heartbreaking to see that your generation has to re-fight battles that we thought we had settled so many decades ago. Post-Roe America isn't the future that we should be handing down to our daughters and our sons, and I promise you, Joe and I are by your side in this fight, and we're not going to rest until we right every wrong."

Lydia has been a Pro-Choice Minnesota Campus Organizer for two years at SCSU. She was recently awarded the SCSU Excellence in Leadership Award  and published in The Newsleaders, stating young people are "grateful for pro-choice successes."

"I am grateful for the progressive majority we elected and the overdue pro-choice successes that were achieved, but I am particularly proud of the bold leadership that helped to remove barriers to Minnesotan’s rights to access abortion and reproductive healthcare."
