WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE AN F ABOUT IVF

Can you believe what's going on after the messed up IVF ruling in Alabama? Democrats in Congress are trying to fix it, but the Republicans? They just blocked the whole thing. And get this - 125 of them are now trying to ban IVF access everywhere.

It's clear what they're up to: they won't let us have abortions, they won't let us start families - this isn't about life, it's about control

You know what we do? We vote them out in November. We need a pro-choice majority that respects your right to make decisions about your own body, your healthcare, and your future. Full stop.

Become a sustaining member of choice today - at any level - and as a special thank you, receive one FREE ticket to our upcoming Class Reunion on March 8.

SUPPORT INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ABORTION CARE

Contact your legislators in support of HF 4053 and SF 3967, which would require insurance plans regulated by the state to include abortion coverage.

In Minnesota, we have a chance to stand up for pregnant folks' health by making sure insurance covers abortion services in both public and private plans. Abortion is a crucial part of healthcare, and everyone should have fair access to it, no matter their income, background, or zip code.

JEZEBEL: HERE ARE THE 125 MEMBERS OF CONGRESS WHO SPONSORED A BILL THAT WOULD RESTRICT IVF

"If the "Life at Conception Act" passes, it would have the same effect as the recent Alabama Supreme Court ruling. The bill would also outlaw all abortions nationwide. ... However, the bill has never had so much as a committee hearing, let alone a full floor vote, probably because it would need 218 votes to pass."

PRO-CHOICE MINNESOTA CAMPUS ORGANIZER HIGHLIGHT: MEET LYDIA

My name is Lydia Krueger (she/her), I am a senior at St. Cloud State University, and this is my second year as a campus organizer with Pro-Choice Minnesota! I am so grateful for my role as a campus organizer because I recognize a need to build community on my campus regarding reproductive freedom, and I am passionate about my ability to connect with my fellow students who are committed to protecting reproductive rights for all.

I am passionate about my role because I believe that students on the St. Cloud State University campus, and our fellow community members, deserve to have access to the care they seek regarding their reproductive health. I also strongly believe that no one should be shamed, barred, or manipulated from receiving that care or access to it.

In the past few semesters in my role as a campus organizer, I have mobilized pro-choice students on my campus to talk about the things that matter to us, with one another and with our peers. I have led meetings regarding the intersections of abortion access and menstrual equity, the importance of comprehensive sex education, and the importance of dismantling harmful rhetoric from anti-abortion and anti-choice folks seeking to limit people’s rights to access reproductive options.

Most recently I wrote an op-ed letter to the editors of local newspapers in north-central Minnesota speaking to the importance of pro-choice voters and organizers to hold strong in our efforts to protect people’s rights to reproductive care and freedom, both now and in the future.

Throughout my life I have dedicated myself to seeking out and disrupting injustices, I will continue to do this by raising awareness and advocating for the importance of pro-choice legislation that centers reproductive freedom and rights, both on my campus as well as in my community.
